Causes of Stress
There are many things in our lives that can cause stress. There are the normal stresses we face; job interview, taking a test, or maybe running a race. These are short-term stresses.
Long-term (chronic) stress can be caused by stressful situations or events that last for a long time. For instance; problems at work, home or school or conflicts within the family.
If it persists over a long period of time you may develope physical effects of stress.
Leading Causes of Stress:
- Your Health-especially if you have a chronic illness

Emotional Problems-Such as depression, grief, anger you cannot express, guilt, or low self-esteem
- Your Relationships-such as having problems in relationhships you presently have, feelings of a lack of friendships or support in your life
- Major Life Changes-such as losing your job, the death of a loved on or close friend getting moved, or moving to another state.
- Stress in Your Family-such as a family memeber under stress, or being a caregiver, or a difficult teen child
- Conflict in Your Schedule-such as you want to spend more time with your family, but can't because of school or work
